Had the chance to catch up with Barbara Murphy today. Barbara is the mother of the Madonna resident, Katie Guernsey, who is the MOPS mom from our home area. We have been trying to find someone in the room with Katie now for the 4 weeks we have been here, but always managed to just miss Jason and Barbara. Today was another GOD THING...she was standing at the fish tank taking videos, and mentioned that she was taking the video for Katie...and the rest is history. Please pray for Katie and her family. She leaves Madonna for surgery in Omaha on Thursday. Surgery is scheduled for 2:00. We need to pray that this surgery will help wake her back up and that she is able to come out of the coma like state completely. Also that she will be able to resume her therapy. Because she was not progressing, the insurance will not pay for therapy at this time. The visit I had with Barbara was one God thing after another from both sides. It is always encouraging to meet with another believer and share stories of ways God has intervened in the whole process.
