Had the most amazing day today! The family took a small 12 seater plane to Lady Elliot Island here in Australia, a little jewel at the southern tip of The Great Barrier Reef, owned and managed by this man, Peter Gash, an entrepreneur, pilot and just all around amazing man! He restored this island from a previously mined island with no vegetation whatsoever into a lush destination with tons of birds and an almost self sustaining resort through solar power innovation. Hes speaks a lot about how hes done this and is truly doing his part to educate and change the world. He also spent a lot of time with the kids today educating them about the sealife and coral around the area, and taught me the basics of flying a small aircraft, although I dont think Ill be flying anytime soon.
