Had to share- story of friendship! On Friday night, I got a phone call from my sons classmate. This was a 1st for Kyle. It was, Mary. Kyle and Mary are very friendly at school and they do projects together and work as a team often. She asked to speak with Kyle, but he was not home. She proceeded to ask me if he could hang out somewhere Saturday afternoon, (after he was done with Drama Club). By this time I had a big smile and I suggested the Plymouth Mall. Then Mary asked if Kyles best buddy,Dianne would hang out with the both of them. (A best buddy is a typical high school student that volunteers their time to a special kid in school). I contacted her and the answer was YES! The three of them had a great time together and are in the process planning their next hang out. I still cant believe how strange it felt to have a friend call for Kyle. He hadnt ever received one before this in 17 years. I could not believe that I was feeling like a soccer mom by days end, wiped out from picking up and dropping off. I am so grateful for Marys call!!!
