Had to share this one.... Keeping Peace During the Holidays by Victoria Olsteen... From time to time people will ask me if Joel and I argue. Like all couples, of coarse we disagree but you cant actually argue with someone who wont argue with you; and joel is the type of person who simply wont argue. Hes made up his mind that he is going to keep peace in our home and and I am so grateful. Weve decided that we are going to stay in unity and walk in Love because that us where the power is. We both understand that one if the enemys goals is to try to bring in strife and division. And it always starts with the small things. You may not even realize it, but if you allow a little strife and disharmony in your relationships, like a cancer, eventually its going to grow and tear those relationships apart. Thats why is so important to keep peace in every area of your life. Here in the United States we are just in the throes of the Holiday seasons with Thanksgiving this week and Christmas around the corner. Its easy to feel overwhelmed by all the preparations-shopping, decorations, party planning and gift giving. We have to remember that it really isnt about all the stuff, its about being thankful to God for what He has done for his people. As you prepare for the coming weeks with friends and family, think about this: when all is said and done, people are more likely to remember their experience with you more than they will remember the table settings, decorations, or even most gifts. Let them experience peace and life when they are around you. Be an example if Gods love. Resist strife, keep the peace, and be determined to be a blessing everywhere you go this holiday season. How good and pleasant it is when Gods people live together in unity...for there The Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. Psalm 133:1 3b
