The Polar Vortex is on its way back. Homeowners and those looking after properties for snow birds should check every room in the house daily especially once the cold weather breaks and things begin to thaw. DONT close off heat vents to unused rooms that could have plumbing running through walls or ceilings. Keep doors open within the dwelling and any rooms with sinks should have cupboard doors left ajar. This is not the time to turn your heat down below 60 degrees at night. When it gets this cold you must keep the furnace going at a higher temp than normal and air circulating through the entire house. KNOW WHERE YOUR WATER SHUT OFF IS! Ive seen far too many severly flooded homes this season and I dont want you to be next! .
