Motherhood begins with 9 mos. of torture to your body that you willingly consent to, that end on the happiest day of your life which ironically is one of the most physically painful days of your life. You become a driver, referee, nurse, teacher & student, & among other things you are the curator of a very important mini art gallery on your refrigerator. Your house is never completely clean, there is always too much laundry, not enough coffee, you are never right (even when you are), your children never hear what you want them to & hear everything you dont want them to. You constantly obsess over every decision you make & second guess every decision after its made. Then just when you feel like you are failing, your child will do something that blows you away & you know that you arent. You learn that a hug will completely turn a day around & you appreciate a decent nights sleep. Life is full of chaos, tears, excitement, & built around little moments that change who you are forever, in all the best ways. I never thought I could love anyone so deeply & fiercely with all my being or feel so blessed until I became a Mother. By far its the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding. More than anything Motherhood taught me to appreciate my own Mother & the women in my life, for everything I was completely clueless about & not always grateful for..We all have women in our life who did or does her best to make us the people we are now. Motherhood is true unconditional love. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the Moms, Grandmothers, Step-Moms, Adopted Moms, & other Mother figures out there for everything you do!
