Had to share this to see if I was somehow an a-hole for thinking it an asinine statement. Its from a league message board back/forth regarding a trade veto...the trade may have been ill-advised but no collusion. This was the response from one of the owners voting against in response to a post saying, unless evidence of collusion a trade should never be vetoed. Owners value players different and thats their prerogative. Compelling, but I still disagree. It is unfair to the other teams when a trade is made in such a way as this. Truth be told, I dont like Trades at all. I think they are by default collusion between two owners. The market should decide who gets which players. Dont want someone? Drop them and wait for something to come up on the wire that you do want. Simply put, trading with another owner is collusion against the other teams.
