Had to step into the middle of a fist fight today over...of all - TopicsExpress

Had to step into the middle of a fist fight today over...of all things...sandwiches. Imagine being hungry enough to push and shove and actually fight over written off, past date, 7/11 sandwiches. For many of the 1500+ Word on the Street homeless I am only able to bring them food once per week and some every other week. I am distributing several thousands of pounds of food per week out of the back of my pickup truck driving an average of 150 miles per day all over central Florida. Picking up donated food several times per day from several locations, restaurants, stores, etc., bringing it back to my barn (which has become the WOTS ministry hub), where I have my refrigerators and freezers and donated food and hygiene products, etc, separate and organize the goods depending on who I am distributing to, packing my pickup and off we go. This is done several times per day with homeless camp visits, counseling, hospital and jail visits, setting up new camps, helping maintain old camps, and, so on and so on and so on and...well...this is an average day. We also have the Sunday streetside bible study and feast and the Wednesday lunch and individual counseling time. Theres plenty more, but, you get the picture. WOTS is a unique ministry from the perspective that we have no location, building, or specific area. We are a kingdom ministry, not a humanitarian effort. These people are my friends, and my sheep, and I love them like family. Please pray and consider helping with personal and or ministry monetary gifts. We need hundreds of tents, tarps, sleeping bags, flash lights, etc on a continuous basis and thousands of batteries, bug repellent, hygiene products and pounds of food on a continuous basis. As a pastor and missionary to the homeless I personally need your prayer and financial support. Please click on about on this page and then how to give and partner with me as a co-WOTS-minister today. Grateful to be used of God as a small part of His ministry to the homeless in Central Florida. To God alone be the glory. Pastor Skip
