Hafs bin Ghayaath narrated that Aboo Hurayrah رضى الله عنه said: “Indeed the home becomes spacious for its inhabitants, and the Angels visit it and the shayaateen abandon it, and its goodness is increased if the Qur’aan is recited in it. And indeed the home becomes narrow and restricted upon its inhabitants, and the Angels abandon it and the shayaateen visit it, and its goodness is decreased if the Qur’aan is not recited in it.”
