Hahah..this Stolen gen fella gets invites to go talk to mainstream schools and small community setups..legal orgs,ect...ect..and i reject any form of monetary payment..all i ask for is a cuppa and a biscuit after event..and a license or freedom to say wat i choose to share...i have spoken in front of thousands...and i have spoken in front of a dozen..strange...ive never been asked by a koori org to share reflections of my journey,on ther behalf or their state funded events..rather many get those they employ to bla bla on and they were never taken...get paid hamesomely in thier run of the mill history lesson..that everyones heard before..Go figure!!!...Guess im an idependent gun...but not for hire...if i walk away knowing ive made a difference to those ive layed bare to my truth and life experience...their is no greater satisfaction..i often need the next week to spend time to recover..coz i leave no stone unturned and relive many memories entwined with emotions at the time in my talks or addresses..just sayen is all...but i bounce back stronger than ever,snd spiritually rejuvenated...and ready to do it all again..thats the way this black duck rolls,true grassroots activism..like my elders taught me wen i came home...just sayen is all..xo
