Hail and well met everyone. I would like to introduce you all to another of our SWC open circles, Sacred Grove Community Circle SWC in Falls Church, VA. Khalila Redbird is the CFGL (Community/Civilian Faith Group Leader) for Sacred Grove. This is just a bit of what she has to say about their little community…. “We are small and disorganized when it comes to scheduling and holding open circle events; when we do, they are in our living room or at my son Bens house. Hes our congregational emissary and has (or is supposed to have) an indoor space and a fire circle outside. Of late, we are busiest running from place to place, event to event, building the web. We are in the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC. I am involved, as SWC clergy, in hospital chaplaincy (on call interfaith -- which is mostly end-of-life situations) and as a chaplain in the Fairfax County Community Chaplain Corps. On one hand, were reaching out to become part of the larger interfaith community through participation in crisis response and domestic violence prevention, and on the other hand, we are drawing the other Pagan groups into awareness of the civic and interfaith activities in which their participation could be mutually beneficial.” I’d like to invite you all to go visit their page and maybe give them a “Merry Meet”, if you so wish. If there are anymore of our group leaders out there….OR EVEN any of our individual solitary practitioners who would like to share a bit of what you do, please share it. It is a great thing to get to know everyone in our congregation, especially since we can all be so far apart. Take care everyone and have a great rest of your week. Rev. WildSerenity
