Handout No. 2 Peshawar 6th July 2013 Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-insaf, Imran Khan has demanded the federal government to repatriate the platoons of Frontier Constabulary deployed out of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to the province so that the borders of the province with tribal areas could be well guarded and manned. He made this demand during a presentation given to him by inspector general police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and secretary home and tribal affairs on the overall law and order situation in the province during his one day visit to Peshawar. Briefing the media about the visit of Imran Khan to Peshawar, Spokesman of the provincial government, Shaukat Yousafzai said that the visit aimed at reviewing the progress made so far on the implementation of the reform agenda of the provincial government, and he was given detailed briefing regarding the proposed reforms and health, education, local government and various other departments. Mr. Shaukat told that working groups in all departments of the provincial government have been constituted to implement the reform agenda adding that the said working groups will be headed by the ministers of the department whereas the administrative secretary of the department will act as secretary to the working group. Mr. Shaukat further told the media that work on the formation of an independent accountability body had been finalized, and similarly draft of the proposed access to information bill has also been finalized which will be enacted through an ordinance very soon. He refuted the news items telecast in some segment of electronic media saying that chairman PTI has demanded the chief minister, pervez Khattak to quit the party office and termed the news item as baseless.
