Handyman Essential Recruitment - Worksop This position is being advertise d on behalf of Essential Recruitment who are acting as an employment business. To carry out projects, repairs and maintenance throughout grounds, office and factory. This will include general carpentry, hanging doors, new locks, easing doors, architrave, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, plumbing, unblocking sinks, unblocking toilets, replacing tap washers, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipe work (copper or PVC), painting and decorating, re-glazing, changing light bulbs. · To ensure that the property and surrounding area are maintained to best standards · To comply with health & safety procedures and requirements · To complete all handyman tasks quickly and safely. · To ensure timely completion of all handyman work as detailed by PPM job sheets. · To be pro active in reporting and agreeing actions to address defects. · To assist other members of the team as and when necessary in carrying out their duties including assistance with 2 man working (e.g. high level steps and ladders, manual handling), air filter changing and other general handyman tasks as necessary. · To liaise and direct specialist sub-contractors as required. · To accurately complete work records throughout the shift. · To conduct stock-taking of engineering stores as and when required. Skills / Qualifications Required: · 3 yrs experience in a similar role · Must have good communication skills · Must be well presented · Must have a positive attitude to work · Must have good customer service skills · Building fabrication experience · Plumbing experience · Good communication skills · Computer & IT literacy · Flexible - willing do additional hours when required · Experience in working in a corporate office environment The following qualifications would advantageous:· Joinery/Carpentry qualifications, NVQ Level 3 Carpentry Joinery/City & Guilds Carpentry & Joinery · Plumbing qualifications, NVQ/SVQ Level 3/City & Guilds This is a temporary position with immediate start.
