Hank and I picked 3 gallons of blackberries, yesterday evening. This morning Im so sore. My back hurts, my shoulders from stretching to reach that one big juicy berry. Back of my legs from wearing Hanks big heavy boots, from stomping down the vines to make a path. The whole time praying I dont step on a snake... God has gave us rain and sunshine, and the berries are big and sweet. This winter when Im making cobblers and dumplings, I will have forgotten all the pain I went through to get those berries. I plan to be back in the patch again this evening... I love picking berries!!
