Happiness or unhappiness: The choice is ours Dear Friends, Namaskar Here is something from someone who loves you: If we are conscious of our mental decisions, we will find that it is with our own consent that happiness or unhappiness prevails upon us. Either of these two states-of-mind rule over our heart with our own permission. Others might be trying to give us happiness but if we are determined to be unhappy, nobody can help us. Similarly, we might be subjected to undue criticism or condemnation, it is our choice to accept or reject it. On one side in our mind, there is an unholy nexus of negative forces like enmity, conflict, hatred, condemnation and jealousy. Just nearby, there lives a holy alliance of positive faculties like love, compassion, mercy, tolerance and forgiveness. We have an option to join either of these two very powerful mental organizations. The cosmic energies of both negativity and positivism are also present in and around us. If we prayerfully determine to join the holy alliance of positive faculties, the cosmic energies of the same kind will support us. Similarly, if we decide to surrender before negativities, we are most likely to enter the world of endless sufferings. The most serious and life-threatening diseases could be conquered with a high morale. If medical interventions are indicated, positivism will reinforce the same in a big way. Now, let us consider the role of our friends who love us and inspire us with love, help, support and hope. Surely, this counts much. So we should seek their blessings and company. If we ourselves become distributors of positivism, optimism and pleasantness, we may work wonders for others. In return, we will be blessed with infinite treasures of the same quality of thought-processes which will make us one of the richest personalities in terms of this spiritual wealth. Never be economical in extending such an amazing grace to people around you. Even with silent invisible prayers and visible smiles, think good of everybody irrespective of anything.
