Happy 100th, NCBI! Not year—100th eukaryotic genome annotated. The National Center for Biotechnology Information just announced that they had annotated 100 different eukaryotic genomes since they started in 2000, almost half of which were annotated this year (2013)! Learn more about how theyve improved the process to allow such a substantial increase in their throughput at the link below. Oh, and the 100th organism?
