Happy 7th Birthday to my Sweet Princess Ashley..... I find myself last night and all of today reliving things that happened on her birth day.... I know, I know, dont live in the past, and I dont, and I look at how far she has come, and am thankful to every Dr and Nurse that has and still does play a role in her well being.... But I know she was intubated at CHOP right now, I know Doug was with her while I sat with my friends and family who came to say hello and goodbye to her, and hold me together, we didnt know if any of us would see her alive again... I remember calling my Mom and my Dad and telling them both to come right away.... Those moments are ingrained in my mind, they stick with me and the hurt reopens every year on this day.... I absolutely celebrate, she doesnt see this....but there are a few times throughout this day that I have to look away and let those tears fall and hug her a little tighter.... I am thankful she was and still is a fighter....a true fighter.... Please help me wish her a beautiful Happy 7th Birthday!!!!!
