Happy Anniversary to Mom and Dad. 55 years today. A lot has happened since the 50th. Namely, survival. Dad has had 2 or 3 more stents, a pacemaker, then his second major MI in 2011, 16 days in St. Thomas with a triple bypass followed by a blood clot in his arm and a major one in his leg and implant of the "bird nest" filter, and, finally, being diagnosed with his clotting disorder that caused all his problems for 10 years. Mom has survived being a caretaker for him and me, as well as her own subclavian stents, knee surgery and rehab., and always being the caretaker and glue of the whole family. They both still just keep going every day, and thankfully, are active and, relatively healthy. Hearty stock I come from. I wish I was half as tough.
