Happy Anniversary to my girl Dax. It was 15 years ago today that we found each other at a gas station in Red Oak, Texas. I was filling up the van and suddenly, from nowhere, came this little butterscotch colored puppy. Then as quickly she was gone. Then back. Then gone. I went inside to find out who owned the puppy and the guy at the counter (a lad of few words and, apparently, fewer brain cells) said, What puppy? Well, that was all I needed to hear. I went out and waited for her to make the circuit again, and when she stopped to say HI I asked her if she wanted to go home with me. She smiled (see photo) and I took that as a yes. I scooped her up, took her home, introduced her to the rest of the Pack, and here we are 15 years later. Her face is pure white now, her tail no longer curls, and she hasnt zoomed in about a year, but shes still my little butterscotch girl. Happy 15 years, Dax! We love you!
