Happy Birthday Depeche Mode with your album ‘Construction Time Again’ released on 22|8|1983, 30 years ago today ! The album was recorded april-july The Garden London and was the first one with Alan Wilder. It was mixed at the Hansa Studios in Berlin and Engineered by Gareth Jones. The production team facilitated the band’s transition from the hook-driven pop songs of their past that had begun to take shape in 1982 with ‘Leave In Silence’. The band continued their industrial formula over their next two albums; Some Great Reward [1984] & Black Celebration [1986] Highest Charts Positions: UK#6 Germany#7 [Both Countries Gold Awarded] Artwork for the album was done by Brian Griffin,who also produced the video ”Only When I lose Myself’ many years later !
