Happy Birthday to James Devers in heaven. He is my biological father and his oldest sister adopted me to become my Mama. However, he always loved me and we had a connection that was unspoken before I ever knew. I loved him as long as I could remember. There isnt a day that passes that I dont think about him and wish I could talk to him. He was a huge part of my love to dance and sense of humor. We left the carnival in Montross, Virginia one night with the kids and Rocky Top came on the radio. I was dancing and driving. He said, Pull the car over, and I did.We got out on the side of Route 3 and Flat Footed to Rocky Top. HIs death broke my heart in two, but his love and humor made me laugh til my stomach would hurt.
