Happy Birthday to my wonderful wonderful sister (stole that from your sister Em:) Sheila Gail, few women have impacted my life so much as you, and particularly shaped the life of my wonderful wife...the other Gail:) But not only did you impact me thru Gail, Ive learned so much from you, too. You are one of the most fun (& crazy:) people I know. One of the most genuine, most gifted and most amazing people Ive known. You are a phenomenol wife to my dear friend Tom Jones and a great mom to those precious daughters I love so much. I learned such valuable lessons about Jesus from watching your life. Youve taught me, inspired me, loved me (when I was often not lovable) and put up with me. Tom, the editor, told me long ago he had given up on editing msyelf and Steven Leslie Johnson; much because we are strange people (sorry Steve) and think so differently from normal people. You always see the best in me, and what you see thats not the best you blow away with a breath of kindness. Of all the things I celebrate about you the most endearing is to watch you love your husband; you became like Tom in his physical challenges and shared his life in everything; you sit with him in church while the rest of us stand. You make us all feel valued and important, as if we were erudite & talented like you and Tom. You make me laugh. You convict the tar out of me (WT Shaw expression:). Your writing and editing has impacted people all over the world, almost as much as your friendship has. I love you & Tom, we cherish you. I hope your birthday was wonderful.
