Happy Birthday to one of the most awesome, true, real, relevant, compassionate, talented, giving, men on this earth! My cousin who is more like my brother, Schiaffino Musarra....I am simply blessed to have him in my life!!!!! We were practically inseperable growing up and we were born within a few weeks of each other, they toted us around like twins, dressed alike and all...in childhood we were each others best friends and couldnt wait to be together each time. We have been in many wonderful adventures together, from karaoke in the basement of the lakehouse singing to Hall and Oates and Michael Jackson, thinking we were the next big band, to many Atlanta Braves games and the Varsity, to water sports at the lake, vacations, holidays, to learning about life, its ups and downs and long talks figuring out our feelings and leaning on each other, to facing extreme loss and tragedy that nearly took our breath away...though we will never fully recover from that, I can honestly say that I have never been more proud of an individual in my life than Schif...I have never felt that I had a rock in my life that I could always count on as Schif. He is multi talented and travels producing documentarys on some of the most amazing people, he has a huge heart and really cares about the events of the world and bringing awareness to things most of us do not often think much about until it is presented. He is truly a spectacular person. Although he lives in Sweden now with the most beautiful wife Joanna Tisell whom I adore, and 2 precious children...he is always in my heart and thoughts. Thank goodness for Facebook :-) As I told him recently, he (unknowingly) pushes me to be better and stronger just because I have those memories of our long talks years ago and I think of all he has done and accomplished, and it spurs me on and I want him to be proud of me as well. I just want the world to know how awesome he is and please everyone celebrate for him today...
