Happy Birthday today (Nov. 15) to Danny Peyronel, who first came to promience as the keyboardist with underrated, cult audience 70s UK hard rock band, Heavy Metal Kids; after two albums & world tours, he left the group in 1975 to become the first keyboard player added to the lineup of seminal UK hard rock band UFO, also singing harmony vocals & co-writing the likes of Highway Lady, On With the Action, Martian Landscape & Can You Roll Her; he left UFO in 1976 following several tours of the US, Europe & the UK & formed his own band The Blue Max (recording one album for Charisma Records); he later penned songs for others (including the title track of Meat Loafs Midnight at the Lost & Found album) before releasing his debut solo LP Make The Monkey Dance in 2005 (reissued in 2011); Danny reconvened Heavy Metal Kids in the early-2000s as lead vocalist (2003 album Hit The Right Button) & in 2011, formed X-UFO with other former members of the band…
