Happy Christmas to those dealing with the loss of a loved one. Christmas time is quite challenging for many. A juxtaposition of glitzy, bright shiny objects, happy families pulling crackers and stuffing their faces with an abundance of food whilst others have feelings of dread, acute moments of loss, isolation or just plain old sadness. When a loved one dies tragically or after a long illness, suddenly or just because their time is up then Christmas is indeed a challenge to those left behind. I believe many strive to have a wonderful Christmas full of joy. Many little moments can give this opportunity; something simple like a beautiful Christmas carol, seeing a child smiling in expectation, a feeling of love when with a friend or relative that you just don’t see often enough. For those who rightly struggle at this time of excess and basically unrealistic expectation, then I hope you can quietly get through the day. Sometimes we are so much in our own way that we do not appreciate simple solutions. • Be kind to yourself which is never really easy when there is so much expectation. • Be proud of who you are. • Accept that it’s tough but tomorrow is another day; Scarlet O’Hara found strength in that :-) . • Watch good old films and even enjoy the repeats if you are alone. • Look forward to Boxing Day when the pressure is off. Death of a loved one is tough and I send healing and love this Christmas. When many of us send healing and love the vibration rises and it can be felt positively by many, many people.
