Happy Cinco Day Mayo! Hope you have a great celebration with your families :) Whats the history? When Mexico defeated the French during the civil war, it changed everything! If the French had won, they were planning to aid the south thru a base in Mexico during the civil war. The West celebrates this as a time of Mexican-American pride--with good reason--If Mexico had not defeated the French the American civil war may not have turned out the same!
