THE GOSHEN CHILDREN FOUNDATION (Written by jenisi) Love is a - TopicsExpress

THE GOSHEN CHILDREN FOUNDATION (Written by jenisi) Love is a commonplace word which is generally corrupted and trodden. From the get-go of creation, I take it, that the Creator never created man or woman of whatever race or pigment to suffer any basic needs in life. In fact, He established (according to creation account) man in a certain Garden of Eden. And this Garden was chronicled as the ideal settlement for the created man (woman included); as everything ranging from shelter to comfort to feeding etc. was taught present in the mythical Garden. And the rest, as we know, is history. Again, I should repeat the entering sentence into this piece: “love is a commonplace word which is generally corrupted and trodden.” Now, I care less whether or not some Adam and Eve screwed the human race in some untraceable too distant past. Succeeding races after them aren’t only disobedient (to their Creator) but mortifyingly mean against themselves. As if this were not so, in the midst of the innumerable treasure (earth) the God deposited us there should be no so thing as slum, shanty, dingy, tatty etc. in our common lexicons. Fortunately however, God isn’t relenting in His solemnly glorious heaven-shed. He has given some few requite-able individuals the heart to reciprocate the continuing immeasurable love He is lavishing them by inspiring them to seek out the waifs and the urchins in the society. And these inspired and unbowed like-minds developed into the Goshen Children Foundation, GCF. Goshen Children Foundation is the initiative of young undergraduates who have heart at leisure for helping the under and less privileged, amid of abundance, in our society. The Foundation’s charity recent project is concentrated upon pupils in primary schools by providing necessary school-wares, i.e. uniforms and sandals etc., for pupils that are obviously in dire need of it. And, quite shocking, though not unconventional, reports reaching us thus far regarding the basic welfare of some pupils are sickening and pathetic. Yet these are pupils the govt. asserted to have catered for their basic welfare. That’s a theme for another posting. Furthermore, some of them – Goshen members – are reduced to hot-tears in the face of the appalling and intellectually-degrading conditions they are confronted upon arriving a charity-site. There are cases of malnutrition, bedraggledness, poor learning environment, etc., (don’t feel sorry for the last condition – as most of us learned, and are learning, in similar ramshackle schools). Thankfully, however seemingly implacable these highly mean conditions are in view of the foundation’s resource-constraints, these salute-able young scholars emptied themselves of whatever is correspondingly beneficial to the squalid situation before them. From material to affection. GCF, in mine view, isn’t a foundation to be left, unassisted and supported, to these young scholars but should be prayed for, funded and encouraged; as their mission is of immense benefit to our nation. Because if we fail, albeit well-empowered, to dig out prospective leaders off the sod of neglect and abandonment; the future of our country is screwed, big time. In closing, I should particularly appreciate Oladele Becky (the pioneering member) for her out-of-the-way tenderness and altruism in birthing and milking this growing-into-places Foundation. And to every member on this team to the patron and the matron to the without partners God bless you all immensely. Hoist the GCF flag for the ends of earth to behold the glory of the King!
