Happy Memorial Day. We wanted to share with you one special veteran in particular, former US Marine Sergeant Mark Dolfini. 12-year-old Cody Green had been battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia for most of his life with the fighting style of the Marines he idolized. As he struggled to fend off an infection in the hospital, the Marines wanted to show how much they respected his will to live, his strength, honor and courage, and presented Cody with Marine navigator wings and named him an honorary member of the United States Marine Corps. But for one Marine, that wasnt enough. In April 2012, during the boys final night, Sgt. Dolfini stood guard outside his hospital door all night long, only breaking to salute Greens mother whenever she left or entered the room, until Cody passed away. Thank you to all active military, veterans and their families for all the sacrifices you have made and continue to make.
