Happy Monday,warrior people! How yall doin this fine Sept. morn? My experience with getting a new dog pointed out a need that I hadnt thought of. While I have always been a supporter of local food banks and sharing with folks in need, It never really occurred to me that many animal shelters are also in need of food for all the homeless critters out there.Many shelters are under funded and volunteer staffed. Decided to try and help them out also. Took some food to Canton shelter and some food to the good folks that run TAPS Pekin, IL. Now,heres my challenge to yall. Ya like dogs? Take a little food to your local shelter. Ya like cats? Take some kitty food to a shelter. Care about your fellow man? Drop off a sack of goodies at your local food bank.The government cant or WONT take care of things. Its OUR job. We dont need their help. We are a fully caring and compassionate people. What we need is a little good old fashioned Native socialism. We take care of our old folks.We take care of our young ones. We take care of those in need. We take care of all of Gods critters. We just take care of the things that need to be done. When we take back our principles,LIVE our principles,we really have no need for all the bureaucratic red tape and BS that simply keeps things from being done. We CAN do it. It our world. We NEED to take it back. Enjoy this day. Enjoy this breath. Yesterday is long gone and tomorrow will never come. It is a good day!
