Happy New Year!! Indeed it is and was. Just wanted to take a minute to reflect on 2014 and what a ride it has been. This time last year we were just 2 months into our Mallard Cottage adventure and the 12 months since have been a time. Some downs, mostly ups, amazing folks, amazing fun, new friends, old friends, food, music, laughs and tears. A huge thank you to my family and friends and of course all of the staff (technically they fall under the friends category) for all the support and encouragement. Massive thanks to any and all of you that have crossed the threshold at Mallard for a bite, a drink or just to have a look. You all breathe the life into our little corner of St. Johns. So few people get to build and realize a dream and it is never lost on us how fortunate we have been. From Stephen Lee Kim Doyle and me - huge thanks to all. Looking forward to an even better 2015 as we work on making Mallard Cottage a little better every day.
