Happy New Year to all. I wanted to share with you the amazing experience I had meeting a young teenage Orca in Raglan. I was walking along the waters edge in the harbour mouth and feeling serene and at peace when I saw a fin, then again closer and then he popped up right next to me. We were looking directly into each others eyes as its very deep water one step into the sea. We seemed to stay like that for the longest moment then he swam in to the harbour , I swung round to see if anyone else had seen, then turned back and he had turned round and returned next to me. We walked along, he swam in pace together for a while until people began running down the sand dunes then he gained speed and swam to his Mum and little small orca, I hadnt noticed them across the harbour. I felt so special that he chose me to come and see. It was the most sacred mind blowing experience. I have painted him in this painting of Raglan.
