Happy Reformation Day! For those who no longer get taught about the Reformation in school: on 31 October 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 Theses to the Wittenberg church door. 95 things which Luther felt needed reform within the Roman Catholic system. It was the spark that ignited the fuel which had already been spread by John Huss, John Wycliffe and others, and the Protestant Reformation kicked into top gear. The Church returned to Biblical doctrine, particularly concerning salvation: Sola Gratia (by grace alone) Sola Fide (through faith alone) Solo Christo (in Christ alone) Sola Scriptura (by the Scriptures alone) Soli Deo Gloria (for Gods glory alone).
