Happy Saturday! Just a quick note, that WGBW AM-1590 has been playing oldies music since 1987. And, we dont go around telling folks this, but we have a great music library on CD, that folks in big markets out east, ask if we have a certain song... with that statement, youll be hearing very soon, that Scott Shannon is retiring at the end of June. While hes still doing the #1 morning show in New York City (WCBS-FM 101.1) he decided to curtail his nationwide Oldies Channel....and we dont blame him. Look for WGBW to originate its music from our studios, at the end of June. Many of Scotts other affiliates are doing exactly that, around the U.S. So, stay tuned in... and wish Scott many happy returns.
