SUNDAY SERVICE REPORT FOR 9TH MARCH, 2014. The acts of God are often hard to explain with human language. That’s how it has been in Garden and continues to be. From glory to glory, God is taking us. Oh sing of His grace; whose robe is the light. Today’s service was awesome. His presence is always in Garden. God is faithful to His children, He is terrific. Truly your presence is heaven to us, Praise the Lord! Today’s service kicked-off with Pastor Chibike moderating the hymn service with the hymn ‘’oh worship the King all glorious above’’. We all sang and worshipped God for His faithfulness and blessings towards us. Pastor Obi stepped in and concluded the hymn with a short opening prayer. Just after that, we went into praise session. Sis Praise led us into His alter with the song ‘’you and I will praise the Lord’’. We made a joyful noise to our heavenly Father, lifting up His most Holy name. Bro Kelvin led us deeper into His presence. WOW! Garden worshipped God in a new dimension. We went before His throne; worshippers worshipped His Majesty, Awesomeness and Supremacy. Immediately, Pastor Sam came up, he led us in special declaration for the week and wrapped it up with our covenant scripture Psalm 1:3. Mommy Azo led the Bible reading from Psalm 33. Garden Theatre acted a playlet to emphasize the importance of newly created department cells for members in Unizik. It was just good. The Choir took everybody away with the song ‘’I will speak of Your Glory’’. As they ministered, God’s presence filled the atmosphere. People instantaneously stood to their feet as the song heightened the glory. Immediately, Pastor ushered us into God’s presence with warmth worship as we expressed our love to God. As tradition in Garden, Pastor asked us to go around and tell at least five persons ‘’you’re looking good’’. It was a joyful moment. The bomb exploded as Pastor Obi came up to minister on the theme “FAITH’’. He made us understand the basic concept of faith. He said anybody who succeeds in developing his faith has become a Hero in God. Faith is vital. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is a hard currency. Faith is the substance of things hoped for (Romans 4:17, Hebrews 11:1); as there are hardened criminals so are there “hardened Believers” (Christians with rugged faith). Singing “Abraham blessings are mine” actually isn’t complete, also sing “Abraham’s faith is mine”. Abraham is the father of many nations; the father of faith, he was never weak in faith. Tap into Abraham’s level of faith (Romans 4:17- 20). Let your faith stagger not. Faith has to do with what is not seen. To the Christian; Believing is seeing! Faith is working by God’s sense, which is actually foolishness to the natural Man. Faith is a hard currency in the invisible; Faith is a conviction. Pastor gave an illustration of faith, saying; faith is likened to a valid cheque addressed with your name. Even if you haven’t cleared it yet there is a conviction that money is yours. And you can make budgets based on the cheque. Come to a state where the word of God is like a valid cheque to you. Men of faith are not moved by circumstances they face or what they hear and see but by the word of God. Also a man of faith would act as a man who is watching a replay of a football match that had been previously played and which the score-line was already known. For instance if you are watching a recorded video of a match in which Nigeria won Italy by 3 – 0. Because you already knew the result of the match, you will not be bothered if while you are watching the match, Italy has higher ball possession and their pressure is high against Nigeria. You are not anxious because you already knew the match result of the match. Same with faith, you had seen the end from the beginning; you already know you had victory in Christ. No matter how you are pressed and knocked down, it’s a replay of a known outcome. Thus the man of faith is at rest. Things will turn out well for him. If I were you, I will get the cd. The message is a bomb. Prayer: Lord I choose to stake my future to Your word… NB: Garden Of Grace Wednesday morning mass begins on 19th March, 2014. By 6:30 AM. Everyone is expected to be at the inaugural meeting as there will be a special flow of blessings. Garden of Grace last Family and Friends service for the semester comes up on 30th March, 2014.
