Happy Saturday and so far its been a busy one! We are excited to announce Chance is officially in pending status! He will be officially adopted on Wednesday when he goes to his new home. Yah Chance! Tucker had a meet and great this morning and he did a fantastic job! Hopefully we can announce the he is pending as well, fingers crossed. We have 5 sets of lesson today in the therapy program. Classy and Mesa will be the leading horses, along with Mr.Hank of course, for the lessons today, and we are very excited about that. Classy is officially a therapy horse here at the rescue, he is fantastic at it and love his new job! Mesa, although she is dead broke we are trying her out to see if lessons are her thing. Our Graham location received a message about 9 baby possums who needed a place to go ASAP. So one of our board members left this morning to go get them. These 9 babies just got settled and were hopeful for their success. They are most likely 70-80 days old and appear to be alert and active. *Baby opossum are born extremely tiny hairless and blind and stay inside mommas pouch (like kangaroos and other marsupials) for around the first 70days before venturing out and clinging to her back. We will be attempting to transfer these little guys to a licensed wildlife facility and strongly advise that anyone who is not licensed and experienced NOT attempt to rehab any wild animal. They have very specific requirements and can be harmed by well meaning but incorrect care. We will continue to post updates on these beautiful babies ♡* Our Saturday is very eventful and exciting, we hope yours is as well!
