Happy Saturday from your food guinea pig! Im trying out the McDougall plan and sharing my experience here! Day 2 of the McDougall plan is going well. Yesterday was very difficult because I had to focus and consider the fat grams in everything. I went to a celebration at a Mexican restaurant last night and chips and salsa were in my face all night. Chips are fried, I kept repeating to myself. Today is much better and I have to allow myself to eat these complex carbs that I would normally shy away from because of the high starch content. My blood sugar is more stable and Im not hungry at all. Breakfast: Oatmeal with almond milk and berries. Lunch: Wild rice with peas and potato stew and mushrooms from the Whole Foods buffet.
