Happy Sunday NNK! Perfect Weekend in every way... On the way back sailing and surfing my Kayak from the Bay all the way into Chesapeake Boat Basin... I was given a rare wild animal experience. Most Baldies launch if your hundreds and hundreds of yards out. SO to find a Bald Eagle fly right to and over me, and then land in a line of waterfront oak trees right outside the Marina 100 feet from me was odd?. SO I paddled over quietly not seeing specifically where she landed with camera ready to stop just 25 feet below. Floated for minutes under the Oaks on the waterfront with her and then a boat honked, she launched, I missed the first shot but it was in the shade and waited to catch this one up on the NNK Cover. This is every reason why I live in the NNK! Moving forward there is rain forecasted, very dry with month + of high pressure, NNK could use a nice drink of rain...
