Happy Sunday!! Yup, Sunday! Day 5 of a minimum of 14 on duty. Some folks in my department have been on duty, in excess of 15 days. Its been a great shift so far with an awesome crew. Calls with had so far have been major grinders and a commercial vehicle fire, along with our bread and butta medical aids. Some of the wildfires in NorCal are contained, but several are still very active and have open lines. Red Flag warning conditions will be going into effect today. Thousands of lightning strikes are being anticipated, which is partly the cause of days off being cancelled. The easiest way to work through it is just to take it day by day and to pace yourself. Otherwise, the possibility of getting burned out or being injured on duty are great. With that being said, have a great day, be safe, and be sure to hydrate and pace yourselves!!
