Happy Suomi Sunday to all of you! Lets have some music! This week were sharing with you a Finnish band that is no longer active, but at one time had close ties to Nightwish: Charon! Originally formed as a death metal band in 1992, Charon changed their sound to a more gothic approach. Their 3rd studio album, Downhearted, reached #3 on the Finnish charts, which garnered them a European tour with Nightwish and After Forever. The band would have continued success throughout the next several years; their last studio album being released in 2005. They would tour throughout Finland and parts of Europe for the next few years, but ultimately called it a day in 2011. But the music still remains and is still beloved by many fans of the Finnish music scene. Here is a song from their final studio album, Songs for the Sinners; a track called Colder. Enjoy!
