Happy Teachers Day I teared today at Antonios rendition of You Raised Me Up. I also had a teacher. Every year during Teachers Day when I received thank you notes from my students, I always reminded myself that next year I will find these 2 teachers that made a huge impact in my life and have shown me love and concern beyond that of the teacher. Every year came and gone and every year I made the same resolution for the following year. Till 3 years ago I accidentally saw the obituary of one of them. I rushed to her wake, in time before her cremation. But theres so many things I wish I could tell her and thank her. In the end all I could do is weep by her side. To Ms Chan, words alone cannot thank you enough for turning me around during my JC 2 year. I would not be where I am if you had not seen in me what others and myself cannot see. Wherever you are, Happy Teachers Day.
