Happy Thanksgiving, The best part about Thanksgiving isnt the Macy’s Parade, the roasted turkey, the gathering of family and friends...it’s the opportunity to take a moment to stop and reflect on the blessings we have experienced. The day to day hustle of work, family, and leisure are colored by emails, frightening and tragic world news, personal struggles and the like. Most days we don’t have the time or energy to take stock in the “important” things in life. But on Thanksgiving Day we can, and better than that, we can express our gratitude to those who deserve it. On this Thanksgiving day, I wanted to share just a few things I am grateful for as 2013 nears its end. Life itself…..to be alive and able to experience the wonders of our world My job at the time…..for the opportunity to labor with reward and at the same time contribute to our economy 3GC Group co-workers……for the pride of association and team work as we grew our enterprise. The Westside Connection Softball family…and to know that friendship always warns my heart. My Fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi…For the bond that can never be broken something I learned back on the streets of Compton (The CPT) The Robinson family……grateful for the heritage given me to foster responsibility, reliability, and integrity Loved ones……for those whose life and well being define my own choices and challenge my sense of sacrifice and forgiveness but most of all learning the lessons on being a Man A free country……for living in this wonderful free country, ever mindful of the sacrifice of so many for so long to secure our freedom and see the USAs first black president Family and Friends, accept my warmest wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your family and friends. I wrote this few years ago it was time to share it again. Respectfully and God Bless you all, Rick
