Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends and family. I have so much to be thankful for. My amazing family: my mom and stepdad Kenny, Mama Lil (Lilly Ann), and my sisters - Corrine, Ashley, Tiffany and Ashlee- my brother Beau and my beautiful nieces and nephews and all of my extended family. My fantasticTCRA colleagues and friends: Rick Garcia, Seth Hannah, Jacob Meister, Lowell Jaffe, Wendy Meister, Bill Weeks, Rich Jacobs, Maggie Koehler, Aimee Pine, June Latrobe and Linda Pauel - thank you all for your support, counsel and help. I am so very thankful for the amazing LGBTQ and Allied community across Illinois that support and trust me to be a voice and leader for the community - without that trust I would not be able to do my work. I also have to give a shout out to all of the awesome members of the General Assembly, especially Heather, Sam, Kelly and Greg that helped us all get marriage equality passed! I am so very thankful for my amazing Chicago family that have supported and helped me through this very challenging year: Adam, Jacob, Tony, Alexis, Melissa, Kyle, Beno, Tony M., Brynlyn, Ryan M., Mark, J, Jess and ALL of my friends - without you I would be lost.
