Happy new year Lions! Your annual subscription fees are due! The bad news is that England Athletics have increased their affiliation fee to £12 per member for the 2015/16 year (up from £10 for 2014/2015). I have attached a link at the bottom if you want to read about this in more detail. The good news is the the Committee decided not to pass this increase onto our members as our club is currently doing well. So, your SLRC membership remains at £30. An absolute bargain to be part of our marvellous club and, as well as EA membership includes Vets races (small cost per race), Cross country races (free!), VLM places (5 for 2015!), Joe Percy 10k, Calderdale Way Relay, away runs, and some of best social events on the planet! AND for this year only, your membership will actually cover 15 months! EA have also changed when they collect our annual subs and in future this will be April. But again the committee thought it was best to give you notice before implementing the change ... plus some people seem to take a very long time to pay! You can pay: 1. Online BUT please use a UNIQUE reference so Joanne can tally up YOUR membership to the entry on our bank statements e.g. Mottys subs (see forum for more details) 2. By cheque made out to STAINLAND LIONS RUNNING CLUB (VERY important to use full title and not abbreviate in any way or else Lloyds may explode ... or something like that) 3. In cash to any committee member. If you trust them! Please pay promptly. Those that have not paid by end of March at latest will be removed from the forum and will not be included in the membership info to EA. If you race, this means you can no longer claim discounted club entry.
