Happy the Golden Retriever. A few weeks back, on behalf of a friend, I wrote up a notice on GRCs (and eventually shared to many other pets adoption pages) about re-homing a GR that was found along CTE (Around AMK) to find his forever home. To our delight, the GR was said to be adopted last Friday. But on Monday, I received texts from my friend that the family which adopted him can’t keep him anymore, because their daughter can’t handle the doggy smell - so bad that she can’t stop throwing up. The poor furkid hence was (I am assuming, still is) being locked out at the corridor – Which resulted in complains from her neighbours. In my honest opinion, true that some really can’t take the smell of a dog. But what came by really weird to me was, the daughter did tag along to view the GR with the mother before deciding on the adoption, and the smell didn’t seem to be an issue. Never mind that, it’s not important why this GR has to be given up, again. What is more important now, is the welfare of this boy. We managed to find him a household that is willing to keep him. However, they can only bring the GR home on the first week of December. I am calling out to anyone here and/or experienced fosterers, who can help foster this boy until then, as the currently owner really can’t keep him anymore, for whatever the reasons are (dispute with neighbours…etc). Its a 2 weeks plus fostering period. Kindly contact me, my friend and I will do the liaising. PM me or whatsapp me at 94784525. (Pardon for tardy replies, as I will be away from phone, from time to time) PS: the GR’s name is Happy. They named him that thinking that he can finally be happy as he has found a forever home. But…
