Happy to share and let Google give Storage-Mart some social link - TopicsExpress

Happy to share and let Google give Storage-Mart some social link love for it. Clearly shows the issue facing small and large business in the era of extreme Google dominance. Imagine that there were three TV stations - just three. And that one of them controlled over 80% of the market. The tv station offers you information on anything & everything and as a business, you can advertise on the tv station. To get mentioned on this one station is far more lucrative than advertising. But you cant predict it. You can follow their rules and hope to get mentioned but not only do they constantly change their rules, they wont tell you when they change them, what the new rules are and will penalize you for guessing. Google is the one tv station. Are they evil? Probably not. Do they have a monopoly on the market? Definitely. Do I want government involvement because of their monopoly? God forbid - Hell no. Whats a business to do? Have a strategy that involves professionals that are in tune with the market and how others are dealing with the single TV station aka Google. There are no shortcuts and there are no tricks. If you receive a blind email (aka spam) with an offer to get your site ranked, be smart and delete it. There is a reason why companies like storage-mart will find their way back to the top of the rankings and will continue to thrive. They have a long term strategy and vision with professionals such as the author of this op-ed who will get them there. I hope this article hits its intended target. Believe it or not, this was a sponsored post. There is someone the author wants to see it and my bet is Mr. Cutts and the aforementioned tv station. Please share it and lets get their attention. Its important for Google to hear about the challenges real businesses face every time there is an update and the dreaded Google dance. Mr. Cutts - call it a hummingbird, a panda, a penguin and even code name Venice. Know these changes wreak havoc on real people and real businesses. Ive been in this business off and on for 15 years now. Ive been on each side of the coin and even in some of the dirty grooves on the side. I know what happens when I play the game and accept the consequences. But Google needs to find a way to balance the changes so they dont wipe out small businesses every time they try to root out the cheaters. Again, please share the article and lets get the folks at Google to hear our message. Thank you to Mr. Jordheim for making the post and paying Facebook to put it on my wall! ** I would have shared this even if his first name wasnt Tron. Damn that dude had some cool parents!
