Hard core BJP cadres are in post-election campaign mode. They are playing the role of an organised propaganda machinery to spread that all issues of democracy, rights, equality, justice, questions of access to education, health services, land and secured, dignified jobs are illegitimate issues because Modi has got an electoral victory. They are trying to popularise their idea that electoral result is the only parameter to judge democratic content of a nation-Democracy has to wait for five years when the next elections happen. They are trying to build up the common sense that peoples questions can be silenced just by one answer- Modi has won. Friends, we must take up the challenge to build up a counter common sense that democracy is about the question of justice, equality and access. We must not allow their propaganda to send democracy for an exile for the next 5 years to be a success. Let us Speak out about democratic rights. Let us Speak out about what development should mean. Let us Speak out about the rights of the workers of our country, the injustice done to the farmers, the relentless privatisation of education and fee-hike, education loans, disinvestment in public sector and handing them over for private profit. Let us Say that ad hoc or contractualised undignified, insecured jobs are not employment, they are exploitation. Let us Demand that employment with security and dignity must be recognised as fundamental right. Expose the condition of the health system. Let us Demand more government hospitals. Let us Make movies, compose songs, plays to make secularism and egalitarianism a common sense of the society. Let us Tell them secularism is not only an issue of the Muslims. Equality is not only an issue of women. Caste oppression is not an issue for which only Dalits are bothered. They are essential democratic issues. They are issues which bothers all of us, coz this country is not Modis. This country belongs to the people.
