Harriet Got Her Groove Back Harrriet Tubmans father and first husband, John Tubman, were freed from slavery in the 1840s. She, on the other hand, could have been sold by the plantation owner. While waiting to be she escape, the marriage ended. Tuibman remarried 1869. Tubman was 44 and her boytoy, Nelson Davis was just 22. The two adopted a child together. Tubmans real name was Araminta Harriet Ross. Her parents were Harriet Green and Benjiman Ross. I dont know the number of siblings she had, but she and they were separated by the slave sell. Tubmans husband was John Tubman; that marriage lasted about five years. She began the Underground Railroad trips around 1850. Tubman led 300 people out of the it. John Tubman married a woman named Carolina; her maiden name wasnt mentioned. The two had kids together. He didnt want to escape slavery. I dont know what he was drinking. What would it have been like had Davis had lived in Harriets shadow like Mark Consuelos does with Kelly Ripa. I wonder what the Davises thought about their son marrying an old woman. Catherine Zeta-Jone and Michael Douglas have the same age difference. Rosa Parks was 5 weeks old when Harriet died on March 10,1913.
