✪✪✪✪✪Harry (A0974367) Somewhere, sometime had a home... Where those people are is a mystery. Somewhere, sometime, Harry’s coat was that beautiful Husky coat we all admire. That coat that is long gone. So Harry ends up in a cage at Brooklyn ACC and being the good Husky boy he is, he is definitely not happy. Scared by the whole thing, he growled, and got into a “I’m fighting for my life” mode. For the behavioral eval, Harry came out of that cage in a flash and seemed to be excited at being free. But it went a bit downhill from there—didn’t want to play, didn’t want to eat, didn’t like being stared at, and didn’t like that strange dog entering the room. So to the Husky owners out there—right about now, you’re all saying “that’s about right—that’s how a terrified, angry Husky would behave”. But for Harry what might be understandable behaviors has led right to tomorrow’s ACC euthanasia list. And he’s New Hope only meaning he can only be saved by an approved rescue. So right now, Harry needs that special Husky person who understands him, who knows that he needs to decompress with an experienced owner, who can give him a home where he doesn’t have to compete with other dogs, a home who can tell him that they’re the boss but reassure him it will all be all right. Are you that person? Speak up to foster or adopt Harry—start filling out apps to New Hope rescues.
