Hart - Athletic, however prone to mistake. Walker - Good player. Will only get better with experience. Jagielka - Solid, but unlikely to ever be considered as a great player. Cahill - Definitely Englands best centre back, world class? .. Definitely not. Ashley Cole - Still the best left back in the world! Feel sorry for Baines as hes also a great player, however Cole has to be 1st choice! One of only two world class players in the England line up. Townsend - How good does this guy look!! Every time he gets the ball hes looking to attack!! By the time the World Cup comes round, he could well be one of the most important players in the team! Wilshere - Injuries havent helped, but his career seems to have stalled a bit! Will probably start some games, especially against fast and mobile opponents such as the Spanish. Carrick - Will probably start the games Wilshere doesnt. Adds stability to the team, and at 6ft 1in, may start against taller opposition such as the Dutch or Germans. Gerrard/Lampard - Gerrard will probably get the nod over Frank Lampard. Id personally choose Frank anyday, but think Woy will go with Stevie G. Frank offers more goals, however Gerrard will offer more assists. Tough one to call. Like I say, Id personally go with Lampard. Welbeck - Works tirelessly, will get goals. Strong, tall, athletic powerful. Not world class by any stretch of the imagination, but will give 100% every match! Rooney - Englands other world class player and Englands best player!! If Rooney doesnt perform at the World Cup, England have even less chance than they already have. Sturridge - Will probably start. England havent had a great number 9 since Alan Shearer! .... Sturridge is no exception. Good player, but is hardly going to strike fear into teams as Englands main striker! How I wish Shearer was in this team in his prime! Ap
