Has anybody else noticed how similar The Lion King is to Thor? One has a power hungry uncle, the other a power hungry foster brother. In the beginning Mufasa tells Simba not to go to the land covered in shadow, he goes anyway and has to be rescued by his dad. In Thor Odin tells Thor not to go to the land of the Frost Giants and he does anyway and has to be rescued by his dad. In the Lion King Simba physically and emotionally grows up while in Thor, Thor just emotionally grows up. In the Lion King, Simba is hanging out with a meerkat and a warthog and they help both with character development and comedic relief. In Thor he hangs out with humans and he is the comedic relief to them because he is a stranger in a strange land.
